Leica III #112868 Note: CLA’d. Cleaned and lubricated mechanical parts, adjusted shutter speeds, and the shutter works well at all speeds now. Cleaned both finders and adjusted the focus, both finders are clean and clear now. The winding parts were assembled in the wrong order, causing the winding hard in the past, corrected the problem, and the camera winds smooth now.
Elmar 50/3.5 #151084 Note: The front ring locking screw rust is in place, we have no way to remove it anymore in order to remove the lens cell for a full CLA. We did our best on this lens. Cleaned, and lubricated focus ring. Lubricated aperture ring. Cleaned front and middle elements and removed haze inside. The rear group has some haze, we cannot reach it due to we cannot remove the lens cell. Replaced the missing focus ring stop pin. Tested the lens with digital M body, the lens is in focus, image contrast is low due to the haze inside.
Youxin also mentioned that he recommends rubbing a tiny amount of oil on the lens barrel and pulling the barrel back and forth a few times to make it easier to extend and collapse.
